Finding a Specific Book

To find a specific book in the MCC Library:

  • Click on Academic Sources from the main library website, then click on MCC Library Catalog
  • Type the title of the book in the search box
  • Use the drop-down box to the right of the search box to select MCC Library Catalog
  • Hit enter
  • A list of books matching your search will appear
  • Click on the title of the book you want to see if it is available and where it is located in the library

Finding a Book on my Topic

To Find a Book on Your Topic:

  • Click on Academic Sources from the main library website, then click on MCC Library Catalog
  • Type your topic in the search box, for example, Spanish Flu
  • Use the drop-down box to the right of the search box to select MCC Library Catalog
  • Hit enter
  • A list of books matching your search will appear
  • Click on the title of the book you want to see if it is available and where it is located in the library

Be aware that the results might include videos, audiobooks and other resource types. You can limit your results by resource type:

  • On the right side, under Tweak your Results
  • Scroll down
  • Click on Resource Type
  • Select Books

Finding Books at Other Libraries

To find books located at other libraries available for interlibrary loan:

  • Click on Academic Sources from the main library website, then click on MCC Library Catalog
  • Type in your topic, title, or author and using the drop-down menu next to the search box, select All I-Share Libraries
  • Hit Enter
  • Click on the item you want
  • You will see a list of libraries that have that item
  • To request the item, you need to sign in with your myMCC username and password
