This guide includes information to help students perform database searching effectively and efficiently. Topics include using keywords, subject terms, and boolean searching, and other tips for finding, saving, and citing information from the library datab

Database Features

Make the databases work for you, by using the following features:

  • Use the limiters to find full text, peer-reviewed, scholarly articles
  • Limit by date to find more current information
  • Revise your search as you discover better and/or related subject terms
  • Use the "Find similar results" and subject terms within the record to search for additional sources on your topic
  • Use the citation features to cite your sources (but check for accuracy)
  • Save, email, print, or download your sources for later reference
  • And - Library Databases do not contain advertisements or annoying clickbaits!
