Renewable assignments allow students to share their work and allow others to reuse that work.
The assignment that you complete will continue to have value outside of the course the work was created for. This differs from "disposable" assignment that only exist within the confines of the course.
Renewable assignments allow students to demonstrate their expertise and for future students to continue building on that work.
The renewable assignment that you are completing for this class will be published online and shared with future students and possibly others outside the college using a CC BY license (more on that in a minute). The instructions to the assignment will contain a statement that by posting you are assigning your copyright the CC BY license and allowing the attribution to be to the group rather than yourself as an individual.
