What type of AI: Research Assistant
User account: Users must sign up for a free account in order to search.
What it does: Locates existing research to a paper that's been uploaded, similar to a literature review.
Where it pulls data from: Their software scans the internet for openly available scholarly sources and adds them based on their similarities.
How you can use it: When students find an article they want to use, this tool will allow them to see what other information exists in their research area and more easily identify a variety of perspectives.
Start by entering an existing paper. You can enter the title, DOI, PMID, or keywords.
You'll be asked to choose a service provider.
I chose Biomedical & Life Sciences from PubMed, which returned these results that are similar to the title of the paper I entered. You can toggle to the other provider and get a new set of results.
You can add papers to a collection, then continue exploring other papers.
Research Rabbit provides a visual representation of the papers and the connections between them.
And it also allows you to explore another paper without losing the path that brought you to that article.
