This guide will help direct you to good quality resources for book presentations, learn about book awards, and find web sites that will help you understand the different genres in children’s literature. The tabs are organized by genre.
Children's books are located in 2 places in the library. Juvenile books for grades pre-K-8 are located on the low shelving unit directly behind the reference office, near the reference shelves. The juvenile fiction books are labeled with JUV and the first three letters of the author's last name. Juvenile nonfiction books are labeled JUV plus a call number.
Young adult books are located in the main stacks starting with the call number PZ. Young adult nonfiction books are located within the main library stacks by call number.
