Accessing eBooks

eRead Illinois

eRead Illinois is a lending library of popular fiction and non-fiction eBooks and eAudiobooks for all ages and interests. You can search for books by title or browse by subject. You can also limit by format (audiobook or eBook) and availability.

Axis 360 is the mobile app for eRead Illinois. Download the app from your device's app store, then set up your Axis 360 account using your MCC library card.

Features:

  • Check out 5 titles at a time
  • Place 5 items on hold at a time
  • Check out items for 14 days

Accessibility options:

  • Change font size
  • Change background color/contrast
  • Switch to dyslexia font

What devices can I use? 

  • All iOS devices running iOS 13 or later. (Visit their app store download the app.)  
  • All Android devices running Android 5 or later. (Visit their app store to download the app.)  
  • Kindle Fire devices. To view which Kindle Fire devices are supported, visit the Axis 360 Help page.
  • For Windows PCs and Macs, you can use the Read Now browser-based reader, as well as the Listen Now browser-based audiobook player.
