This guide is meant to provide guidelines to follow best practices in the field and to give our guides a standard look and feel. At times, however, a guideline can be ignored to make a specific guide work.
It is best to create guides in the refdesk account. By doing this, everyone has access to every guide and we avoid having to make numerous changes when someone leaves our employ. There will be an occasional exception to this practice, but it should just be occasional. Employees with administrative rights can access and change ownership of any guide.
